el_class=&#8221;custom-description&#8221;]<\/p>\n<div>\n<h3>Beschrijving<\/h3>\n<p>De stad Nijvel, op 25 km van Brussel gelegen, telt zo&#8217;n 26.000 inwoners en kan bogen op een rijk historisch verleden. De stad werd zwaar getroffen door bombardementen tijdens de Tweede Wereldoorlog en is heropgebouwd volgens een functionele stedenbouwkundige visie die de prioriteit aan gemotoriseerde voertuigen gaf. Het religieuze bouwwerk Coll\u00e9giale Sainte-Gertrude, een kerk uit de 11de eeuw en het echte historische hart van de stad, kwamen hierdoor in het midden van een groot verkeersplein te staan.<\/p>\n<p>Jaren geleden al maakte het plaatselijk bestuur plannen voor de heraanleg van de Grote Markt. Men wilde er opnieuw een gezellig openbaar plein van maken waar de inwoners zich thuis voelen.<\/p>\n<p>Deze stedenbouwkundige renovatie, uitgewerkt door het architectenbureau D.D.V., uitte zich in een nieuw verlichtingsplan en de installatie van stadsmeubilair.<\/p>\n<p>De stad wilde banken plaatsen die perfect bij de nieuwe inrichting van de Grote Markt zouden passen, die het gezellige karakter ervan zouden onderstrepen, en die de markt opnieuw tot een ontmoetingsplaats voor de stadsbewoners zou omtoveren.<\/p>\n<p>Urbis ging met plezier deze uitdaging aan met zijn moduleerbare bank Curl.<\/p>\n<p>Dankzij het innoverend design maken de variabele lijnen het mogelijk om de banken perfect in het project te integreren, en het zelfs mee vorm te geven. De Curl is verkrijgbaar in diverse modules die in tal van combinaties samengesteld kunnen worden.<\/p>\n<p>De Curl sluit aan bij de rondingen van de rotondes en de configuratie van de sites. Dankzij de variabele lengtes kunnen de banken op de beschikbare plaats afgestemd worden.<\/p>\n<p>Ze zijn eigentijds en elegant, en nodigen uit om even halt te houden, een praatje te slaan, te lunchen, &#8230;<\/p>\n<p>De netheid van de openbare ruimte speelt eveneens een grote rol in het veiligheids- en comfortgevoel bij de inwoners.
